Richard Hudnut (1855–1928) was a pioneering American businessman and the first American to achieve international success in the perfume and cosmetics industry. Though he built a fortune through a vast array of beauty products, he preferred the title of " perfumer " . Born in New York City, he was the son of Alexander Hudnut, a prominent pharmacist with a store at Broadway and Ann Street.
