On The Nose Perfumes was set up in 2024 by Gabrielle Durand. Fascinated by fragrance from a young age, she enrolled on the Institute of Art & Olfaction's online course in 2020. During that time she found synthetics did not speak to her so she decided to focus on all natural perfumery, in which she completed a two year diploma.
