Carlos Santana

Carlos Santana is the famous guitarist and rock, salsa and jazz musician born in 1947 in Mexico. He began his music career in San Francisco in 1960s, first as a solo musician, playing in jam sessions, and then as a part of the Santana Blues Band with David Brown and Gregg Rolie. The band soon adapted their front man’s name – Santana and became very popular, which lead to playing at Woodstock in 1969 and signing of the contract with Columbia Records.
