Angela Flanders is a former costume designer for television who turned her attention to fragrances. Beginning with exotic potpourri and expanding to perfumes, she took inspiration from a 19th century perfumer's writings and followed her dream of creating a line of luxurious handmade fragrances. Flanders opened a boutique that embodies the spirit of a Victorian shop to purvey her fragrances, skin care and home fragrance products, and published a book on the subject, Aromatics , in 1995.
