American Eagle Outfitters is an American fashion retailer targeting teens and young adults. Founded in 1977, the first store opened in Novi, Michigan and the brand saw steady growth during the end of the 20th century. The company's first public offering of stock was made in 1994. Especially popular for its custom-fit denim collections, the brand expanded across the United States and into Canada in 2001.
